Sometime we need a little gold in our lives. I keep telling my husband that should come in the form of vintage diamond rings… but he is not hearing me on that one… maybe someday. I am all up on the gold bandwagon. Gold is hot right now, check out these beauties:
Love this gold Zig Zag Tray from upintheairsomewhere on Etsy
How about this Gold Glazed Pillow Cover from West Elm?
I am throwing this in to the mix as a little hint as to some other upcoming goodies… just wait and see.
And I know how to get what I want without breaking the bank – DIY. Check out these gold drip candle holders I made.
Swanky, right? And so very easy. Check it out:
You will need clean, dry Quilted Mason Jars (these were 75 cents each) and a gold paint pen (this one was sold in a pack at Michael’s)
Shake pen well, uncap, and hold upside down. Touch tip of pen to lip of glass and press tip down multiple times to start the paint flowing. Continue to pump until the paint begins to run down the inside of the glass.
Doesn’t it already look cool? Give some individual drips more paint or less paint to create different length drips.
And look at the inside.. I love it. Continue making drips at random intervals around the rim of the mason jar.
Once you have made all your drips, paint the top lip of the mason jar too. It creates a finished look. See the difference?
Here’s your finished project:
Wheres the gold in your life?
Also, I am guest posting today over at http://mybeautifulcrazylifex33.blogspot.com for Breanna (a total cutie.) I am recapping some of the Non-Jeans outfits I showed you last month. If you missed that post, head over to Breanna’s blog and check it out.
