Back-to-School time! Which means busy mornings here in our house. My daughter will be going into Preschool and we are both super excited. I see my job as a mom to help her become independent. To that end I created this visual morning chore chart for her.
She can easily see what she has to do, and once she is done she moves the magnet from one square to the next. Super simple. I laminated this beauty and washi taped it to the fridge. When she has a good morning – i.e. mommy doesn’t have to ask her to do the items on the chart – then she gets a star next to that day (at the bottom) with a dry erase marker. After a week of successful mornings she gets a special treat. This system helps to build responsibility and pride in a job well done as well as keep mommy sane. I have also created a washi tape morning chore chart of older kids that I shared over at The Washi Blog.
