So I have been a little MIA lately. But with seriously good reason. In the last 10 days we have: moved into a new apartment, I started a new job, and the husband started 2 new jobs. So needless to say, there’s been a slight adjustment period taking place in our world. Thankfully, Little girl is transitioning like a trooper. But lemme take you along on that journey with us. Behold, in all of it’s new apartment glory, our home:
Here’s the view form the front door
from across the room you can see the front door.
My fav feature is the speak-easy style peep hole.
Turn around, and here we are in the kitchen. It’s small, but so cute. And totes doable.
Here is the extent of our storage. No joke. The bathroom has none. Here it is kids 🙂
I would get the whole bath in one shot, but the door blocks the sink and the potty.
I told you it was small.
When we come in and close the door we see the tiniest sink and toilet in the known world.
but I am not complaining. (Yep, thats what I look like on moving day… sorry.)
My apologies for the crappy lighting. I promise to do better next time I showcase this room.
There it is. The closet. For 3 people.
Oh, you are probably thinking there should be more photos. Beacuse we are a family of three after all (and two dogs) yet I have only shown you one bedroom… what the hey?! Well, to be frank, we cannot afford a two bedroom with a yard. So we decided to do something crazy and live within our means. That means that we had to sacrifice a bedroom to do it. So be it. We have always been committed to living debt free, so we make decisions that reflect that. This is one of those decisions. Do not get me wrong. This was not an easy decision. I wrestled with it. I prayed allllll over it. I asked God to find some way, ANY other way. But He made it clear that this was is way. So, here we are in a little one bedroom beach cottage. We have been here 10 days, and so far, we’re all still alive. haha! I jest. We have lived in MUCH smaller. When we ran a hotel in Roatan for a few months we lived in a 1 bedroom hotel room… so this is ginormous compared to that 🙂
Stay tuned to see how we are making out rental a home.
