Wedding Season is officially upon us. We are currently on the road to Sacramento to attend my brother’s wedding. Evan is officiating and Ava is the flower girl. So sorry if I flood your Facebook or Instagram feeds with idyllic photos of his vineyard wedding and my angelic child. (Ok, totally not sorry, she’s pretty adorbs.) For this wedding I looked high and low for cute dresses, one for the wedding, one for the rehearsal, one for Ava for the rehearsal (thank you to my dear future sister-in-law who was smart enough to hit the after Christmas sale and snag Ava a cute little dress for the ceremony because girl’s wedding guest dresses are hard to find!) Then there were shoes and jewelry and everything that goes with such an ensemble. There is so much to consider in proper wedding guest attire choices. So, because I love you I made a mood board with some ideas for wedding guest attire for you and your precious little girl.
For a garden wedding, I love this beautiful blue knee length Liz Dress. I paired it with a Burnt Red Necklace for a pop of color, the Tilby Hat because you never know how the sun will behave or where you will be seated at a garden wedding, an awesome teal fold over clutch, these cute flats that tie in all the colors because nothing is worse than wearing heels and sinking into the grass, and classic aviators because outdoor weddings require shades.
For your little darling, keep it simple. Kids see grass and want to run and play. I paired this light and airy Polka Dot Dress as a blank canvas for the fun pops of yellow in this super cute fabric necklace and bookbag – which I think is a must for kiddos at a wedding for toys and books, keep those babes entertained when it is time to toast or dinner runs long. I completed the ensemble with some inexpensive sandals because, like I said, kids see grass and want to run and play, so prepare them for it.
Are you going to any weddings this summer? What are you wearing?
