Happy Tuesday guys! Can we just discuss the fact that I jumped outta bed yesterday (um yeah, Monday) morning? It was like a miracle. Most days I am like “Bed. Sleep. No wakey.” But yesterday I was happy and cheery and up before the sun. And I think I know why. I had an intentionally restful weekend. Saturday we our annual apple picking outing. My husband and I have been doing this every September since 2006(ish?) It is awesome. We even took photos some years – Check it out:
Obviously this family of mine loves Apple Picking. (If you are wanting to go Apple Picking – check out my tips for a successful day: here.) This year we invited some friends to come with us. The kids had a great time exploring the orchard. Old buildings, apple trees, pear trees, the pumpkin patch. They had a blast. But they really wanted to get home, beacuse….
BECAUSE WE WERE MAKING CARAMEL APPLES!
It was such a fun and messy day! I ended up getting chocolate all over my hands because: kids… but thanks to my new Delta Touch2O faucet I could just touch it to turn it on and not have to get the handle all chocolatey. I was able just to jump into the clean up process and get my kitchen sparkling clean. I literally love this faucet. I turn on the handle when I am going to be working in the kitchen and I just touch it on and off while I am working. It makes loading the dishwasher easy and California Drought-friendly because the water get’s turned off each time I go to put a dish in the dishwasher, as opposed to the old system where the water stayed on the whole time. I know that sounds way lazy… like “just turn the handle on and off, lady.” But that’s not how I did it before, and I am wondering if most people just leave the water running too. It is really very convenient to be able to turn it off with just a touch and I am turning it off more often now. So that’s a plus for the environment and my water bill. Win win.
Why do people treat mess like it’s a bad thing? It’s actually the evidence of a life well lived. When you’re out there making, creating, doing and playing, embrace your #HappiMess and let Delta kitchen and bath innovations help clean up so you can do it all again tomorrow.
