March Madness is here! We are so stoked to be able to show you how to throw a great girl’s March Madness Party. I have a difficult time throwing parties sometimes, partly because I like them to be perfect, but also because all the prep, the expense, and the clean up! Ugh, that’s my least favorite part! Can I get an amen? But I want to show you how to throw a Girl’s March Madness Party and how to make a great EOS Lip Balm Party Favor too. First – hit up Target, cuz they have some CUTE stuff in their Spritz party line that is PERFECT:
Check out the cute striped plates and napkins that look like referee shirts!
The party department has these cool orange honeycombs that are reminiscent of a legit basketball… and about the same size too! While you are there, grab the black and white striped straws and a chalkboard banner. Quickly stop by the office supplies and grab a sheet of black poster board for your March Madness Brackets and then head over to the home section so you can stock up on mason jars.
These are a party planner’s best friend, you can use them as beverage containers, vases, to hold snacks, or even as candle holders, and they always go with casual themes because the liquid determines the color of the mason jar. So when you are at Target, grab the ultimate Basketball beverage- orange Gatorade over in the market section, and you can grab snacks there too. I am all about the easy party planning.
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, some orange icing, and some orange Lindt Lindor chocolates make for a cute dessert table. Simply place the icing in a bag and pipe some orange lines on those candies for adorable basketballs! (thanks to Randi Dukes for this awesome idea!) I placed my Lindt chocolates in these cute little dipping bowls from the dining section of Target. Remember when I said I am all about the easy party planning? If the paper plates haven’t given me away, then maybe the fact that I picked up everything in one shopping trip will prove that I am all about the easy when it comes to parties.
You can use the same piping technique on cupcakes too. So easy! And again with the adorable dip bowls! I was able to throw this Girl’s March Madness Party together for about $50, and I even had enough money to make a little party favor for my guests:
These March Madness party favors will be a hit with your guests. I love EOS lip balm from Target, and this tangerine flavored one makes the perfect basketball.
For this project you will need:
Tangerine EOS lip gloss – 1 per guest
This printable “March Madness is the Bomb!” page
A silhouette, circle cutter, or an X-ACTO knife
Optional: This Silhouette cut file (if using Silhouette)
First, download the printable (here)
Using a home printer, print onto card stock
Use the Silhouette cut file (here), circle cutter, or X-ACTO knife to make a circle on the center line that fits the inside diameter of the lip gloss
Open EOS lip gloss packages
Open the actual EOS glosses
Place completed card onto base of EOS
Replace EOS cap and screw shut, so the card stock is sandwiched between the two parts of the lip gloss container
So cute, right?!
Party planning can be seriously stressful on me. But this whole party was SO EASY. One trip to my favorite store and I had everything I needed to create the perfect Girl’s March Madness Party. Find your style @targetstyle. Let the festivities begin!
