I love the quote that before you judge a person you have to walk a mile in his shoes. There is a lot of debate on where that quote originated (anyone know the real answer?) but I do love the concept that you could learn so much about someone by sharing in their experiences. So I wanted to give you all a quick taste of a random week in my shoes. Please be aware, this is not a typical week. As a teacher I think that a gallery of a typical week would be kind of boring… classroom floor, classroom floor, class room floor… this was a very special week for us (you will see why at the end) but I am glad I decided to document this week in my shoes, because it was such a good one:
SUNDAY – Church
MONDAY – Laundry
TUESDAY – Grocery Shopping
WEDNESDAY – Meeting at Starbucks
THURSDAY – Catalina with my girl
FRIDAY – Cruise Ship
SATURDAY – Baja!
See why this was such a special week?! My family never goes on real vacations. Seriously. With a mom who is a teacher and a dad who runs a summer camp, our daughter is kind of out of luck when it comes to vacation time… but this year is special because we carved out an awesome little cruise to Mexico right before the craziness of summer camp began. It was the best. And my Birkenstocks from Famous Footwear were perfect for every day of this special week. Yes, I totally wear Birks to church, grocery shopping, and adventures in Mexico. And there are so many more cool ideas in the #ohsofamous style gallery which is a fun place to get inspiration, explore what others are wearing, and see the variety that Famous Footwear offers. I love summer shoes and all the places I can go in them.
What are your summer plans?
