I have come to realize that the way I de-stress is to make. I am a maker. So when life gets crazy and a car breaks down and I have to buy a new one and my child is on Spring Break and I am redoing my Master Bedroom all at once, I have to find ways to get the stress out. I do that by making. This month’s making of choice has been wreaths.
I have no idea why I have been so wreath-focused, but I am actually in love with each one, so ya know… that’s good. Today’s wreath is a little different. I usually work with silk flowers and ribbon (and apparently, this month moss) but this Faux Succulent Wreath is a little more minimal and bare bones.
Here’s what you will need:
Some dollar store faux succulents
A target dollar spot wreath (or a grape vine wreath spray painted white)
A hot glue gun
All you do is pull these little guys out of their pot (which is filled with Styrofoam) and hot glue them to the wreath. Really, that’s it. It’s ridiculously simple, really.
Talk about an easy de-stresser project, this little baby took me about 10 minutes, total. Where should I hang him? Maybe in the new Master Bedroom…. hmmmm. He would also be great in a guest bath, since the faux succulents will do fine in a moist environment and not loose their shape like some faux florals might. Where would you hang this wreath?
